"Graphic Design Made Easy: Canva Essentials for Entrepreneurs"

 Asession on "Graphic Design Made Easy: Canva Essentials for Entrepreneurs" for 1st-year undergraduates was taken by Anjali G,Assistant Professor ,Dept. Of Computer Science ,Convenor IIC .The session was aimed to introduce students to Canva, a versatile graphic design tool. The objective was to provide foundational knowledge on using Canva for creating professional visual content, demonstrating its applications in various design projects, and showcasing previously completed work to illustrate practical use.Students gained familiarity with Canva’s user-friendly interface, including how to navigate the design dashboard, use templates, and employ design tools.

The session demonstrated how to create diverse design materials such as social media posts, flyers, and presentations, highlighting Canva’s practical applications in real-world scenarios.Examples of previous student projects were presented to illustrate the potential and versatility of Canva, inspiring students with practical design solutions and ideas.Students engaged in hands-on exercises, applying Canva’s tools to create their own designs, thereby reinforcing their understanding and ability to use the application effectively.

Google 25th birthday

 To celebrate Google’s 25 years of groundbreaking contributions to technology and daily life, the Department organized an interactive student activity under the Commit Club. Students were encouraged to research and identify Google’s top 25 inventions and innovations—such as Google Search, Gmail, Google Maps, Android, Google Translate, and Google Assistant, among others. Participants designed and prepared creative placards featuring key information, facts, and visuals related to each innovation. These placards were then displayed and presented in common areas of the college, where students from various departments could engage with the content. The presenting students explained how each invention has transformed communication, navigation, learning, and overall digital experiences in everyday life.
