  First Year Students of MSc Mathematics with Computer Science, BSc FSCCA were exposed to canvas app for creating articles for our clubs upcoming magazine.  It was amazing to see them create appealing posters in no time. This one titled: Maths Concepts used  in Computer Science was one of best.

National Technology Day 2023

    Students of  M.Sc computer science had an online event to commemorate technology day,where they were taught canva tool .This will help them in working on academic assignments as well as to promote the self owned small scale business too.This demo session was followed b group discuss on perks of technology . All of them shared their views on being grateful to all these new technologies which are making their lives easy.Few of them have also mentioned  about how it is affecting the users , keeping aside the efforts of the inventors.Overall it was a very interactive session . Outcome: Students had a good time seeing beautiful posters being created using canva .They were excited to explore the new skill they have learnt.Also from group discussion, they seemed   grateful to new technology inventions which  makes their lives easy.

Data Privacy Day 2023

 S tudents of  B.Com Computer Applications were made to attend a webinar “ DATA PRIVACY DAY VIRTUAL MEET”  by DSCI( Data Security Council of India ) where the got to listen from eminent speakers on various data privacy concepts. Followed by poster making session which made them summarize and let them spread their word of caution on data privacy among their groups. Other Students also  participated offline by sending their posters Outcome: Students had a good brainstorming session on how data needs to be protected. And also got to explore ways to disseminate the same through their posters .

National Computer Security Day 2022

  The session on  “National Computer Security day “ started by lectures by faculty of Computer science to the 1st years B.Sc. students where few basic security settings were practically demonstrated to let them stay safe online during their regular use of the internet. Followed by presentations by students where even they have come up to share their knowledge on security concepts like firewalls password settings etc. Outcome: The group benefited by learning the key to stay safe on social media and to make themselves aware not to fall prey to various phishing  and fraudulent activities .

One Day Workshop By the Students for the Students-IoT

  The main goal of this workshop for knowledge /skill transfer from a set of students who attended  paid iot workshop a few months ago to girls who could not be a part of the workshop earlier. Students only acted as resource persons and made the rest of them develop a similar kind of projects they learned in the  workshop earlier. Outcome : Students made IoT based model working  projects. Improved peer interaction. Students gained confidence.

75th ID Week

To mark 75th Independence Day week ,s tudents across all the streams and years were asked to code in their learnt programming language to generate Indian national Flag to mark 75th Independence week . This helped students get creative and at the same time explore the language they are working on. This was done during the second week of august in all the lab sessions. Outcome: Students got to explore programming concepts(usage of libraries ,packages) of various languages .

Session on creating short animated videos using animaker

  12th May 2022 Around 30 students of B.Sc (FsCCs) II Year had an opportunity to attend the Animaker Webinar conducted by the Commit club of Department of Computer Science. The webinar featured presentations on an online do-it-yourself (DIY) animation and live-action video maker software (i.e.) ANIMAKER for beginners, non-designers and professionals. The presentation was followed by a discussion on the concerned topic, which was the most beneficial part of the webinar. By attending this session, the participants could create videos, info-graphics, posters, presentations, and voice-to-text presentations without any prior knowledge of coding. The participants also witnessed the real-time experience of creating animated videos.        Such a gathering generated the necessary enthusiasm among students so they could get their queries assisted. No doubt, the webinar on Animaker was highly beneficial and informative in developing their creativity and critical thinking skills. Outcome: Stud
